Ever since I was little, my parents would take us camping. I can’t think of anything that tasted better then food cooked over an open flame.
As a Girl Scout, we made very cool little cookers out of very tall cans and tuna cans filled with cardboard and wax. I felt so empowered when I made my own breakfast on my own cooker with my little cookset.
Now as an adult, I have a Weber charcoal kettle and covet the gas grills, the outdoor kitchens, and an outdoor pizza oven. I research the brochures, they know my face at Barbeques Galore and Home Depot. Some day, I will have my outdoor flames and can cook on them.
